How do I book an activity?

Search for a school or activity from the map or the Activities section, open the page of the school you're interested in and choose the activity, date and available time. Set the number of participants and confirm the booking. If the activity requires online payment you complete it right away, otherwise the request is sent to the school. You'll get a confirmation email and find the booking under My bookings in your profile.

Can I book for more than one person?

Yes. During booking you can set the number of participants, within the seats available for that time slot, and the price updates accordingly. Some activities may have a minimum or maximum number of participants set by the school.

How does it work for minors?

Minors can take part according to each school's rules: some require a parent or guardian to be present or to give consent, or a minimum age. We recommend checking the requirements in the activity description and contacting the school if in doubt before booking.

Question 4

Do I need my own equipment?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the activity. For most courses and experiences the necessary equipment is provided by the school and is either included or available to rent. What's included and what to bring (for example swimwear, a towel, an ID) is stated in the activity description.

Question 5

How and with what do I pay? Is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Online payments are made by credit or debit card through Stripe, our payment provider. Sealect does not store your full card details: they are handled securely by Stripe under PCI-DSS standards. Some schools may also accept payment on site: in that case it's indicated at the time of booking.

Question 6

I paid but I don't see the booking, what should I do?

Accepted Answer

Don't worry. If the payment went through but you don't see the booking straight away, our system automatically reconciles received payments and, depending on the case, either completes the booking or issues a refund: this usually resolves within a short time. If after a while you see neither the booking nor a refund, write to us from the Contact page with your email and, if you have it, the payment reference: we'll check for you.

Question 7

It looks like a double charge

Some amounts you see may be temporary authorisations (pre-authorisations) that your bank releases automatically within a few days, rather than actual payments. If instead two payments were really completed for the same booking, contact us from the Contact page with your email and the payment reference: we'll look into it and, if confirmed, refund the duplicate charge.

How do I cancel a booking?

Go to My bookings in your profile, open the booking you want to cancel and select Cancel. Before you confirm you'll see a summary with any refund due for that specific booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy is set by each school and can vary from one activity to another, so there is no single rule for everyone. The exact amount refundable for your booking is shown at the moment of cancellation, before you confirm (full refund, partial refund or no refund). We recommend reading the conditions set by the school before booking.

When do I get my refund?

When a refund is due, it is initiated right after you confirm the cancellation. The credit back to your original payment method is then handled by your bank or card network and usually takes a few business days. The exact timing depends on your bank, not on Sealect.

Question 11

The school cancelled the activity, what happens?

Accepted Answer

If the school cancels the activity (for example due to bad weather or the minimum number of participants not being reached), you receive a notification and, for bookings paid online, the refund is initiated. When possible, the school can offer you an alternative date. For any doubts you can contact the school directly or write to us from the Contact page.

I forgot my password or I'm not receiving the verification email

If you forgot your password, use the Forgot password link on the login page to reset it by email. If you don't receive the verification or reset email, check your spam folder and make sure you entered the correct address; you can request a new send from the same page. If the problem persists, write to us from the Contact page.

How do I change my details?

You'll find all your details on the Profile page: from there you can update your name, photo, email and password in the relevant sections.

Question 14

How do I delete my account or export my data?

Accepted Answer

In the Privacy section of the Profile page you can request an export of your data or the deletion of your account. Deletion is permanent and removes your personal data within the timeframes set out in our privacy policy.

How do I contact the school?

On each school's public page you'll find its contact details (for example phone and email) and information about its activities. For specific questions about an activity or one of your bookings, contacting the school directly is often the fastest way.

How do I contact Sealect support?

For any issue with the app, a payment or a booking you can write to us from the Contact page. If you have an account, you can also open a tracked request from the Support section of your profile, so you can follow its status.
